I wanna read:
When I Don't Desire God - John Piper
Desiring God - John Piper
The Pursuit of God - A. W. Tozer
Faith Beyond Reason - A. W. Tozer
Weight of Glory - C.S. Lewis
My Utmost For His Highest - Oswald Chambers
P.S. I love you - Cecelia Ahern (Book and movie)

To have a dream in your heart that you must make come true, to think about constantly - even wake up at two
or three in the morning when everything’s still,
plotting and scheming new ways to fulfill
this desire that’s burning so deeply inside,
it’s no wish or whim - it will not be denied.
Imagine it happening - set a picture in your mind,
your dream holds the power of how you will find
a way that will lead you to all you hold dear,
for when the student is ready the teacher will appear.
Then strive on believing your dream will come true,
be consistent, persistent in all that you do.
You’ll come across hurdles - you’ll stumble and fall,
some days it will seem like your back’s against the wall.
Frustrated and weary and filled with self-doubt
but a voice from within you will rise up and shout,
“You know you can do this - just stick to your schemes,
don’t dwell on the obstacles - focus on your dreams.”
Be self-disciplined - do whatever it takes
for the wall around success is to keep out the fakes.
Whether you make them come true or you let your dreams fade, one thing is for certain - a price will be paid.
The choice is all yours - which one will it be? The thrill of your victory or the agony of defeat.

!!

Did you know? Ohana means family!!

Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in this world that does not hurt.

- Mallory Marie

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into our bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door every morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife’s divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly;
it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office, jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

Omgoodness..:(:(

Haha I once told my friend that I have this weird habit..it's not even a habit. It's natural. I think about what others are thinking. It's crazy right? I don't remember what she said but I remember it made me think that I'm the only one who does it HAHA

=D

While some historians had always regarded the [conflict] thesis as oversimplifying and distorting a complex relationship, in the late twentieth century it underwent a more systematic reevaluation. The result is the growing recognition among historians of science that the relationship of religion and science has been much more positive than is sometimes thought. Although popular images of controversy continue to exemplify the supposed hostility of Christianity to new scientific theories, studies have shown that Christianity has often nurtured and encouraged scientific endeavour, while at other times the two have co-existed without either tension or attempts at harmonization. If Galileo and the Scopes trial come to mind as examples of conflict, they were the exceptions rather than the rule.

Where did the notion of "forever" come from if God doesn't exist?

Where did people get the idea that Heaven and Hell exist?

Who created nature? How can there be such order and complexity in human beings and animals without a Creator?

Who were the first people on Earth? How did people come about? If you believe we were once apes then where and how did those apes come about? There must be a Higher being who created. :)

The theory of evolution is shot full of inconsistencies. Evolutionists have seized on many theories, within the overall theory of evolution, in an attempt to explain the origins of plants, animals, the heavens and the earth.
Over and over, these “theorists” try to explain how life evolved from inanimate material into more complex life forms until it reached the pinnacle—human beings.
Yet, as one geologist wrote, “It must be significant that nearly all the evolutionary stories I learned as student…have been debunked” (Dr. Derek V. Ager, Dept. of Geology, Imperial College, London, The Nature of the Fossil Record, Proceedings of the Geological Assoc., Vol. 87, 1976, pp. 1132-1133).
Perhaps the biggest reason that so many theories within the overall theory of evolution collapse is because they contain terrible logic requiring great leaps in faith to believe. Here is one example of a “debunked” theory: “Many evolutionists have tried to argue that humans are 99% similar chemically to apes and blood precipitation tests do indicate that the chimpanzee is people’s closest relative. Yet regarding this we must observe the following: ‘Milk chemistry indicates that the donkey is man’s closest relative.’ ‘Cholesterol level tests indicate that the garter snake is man’s closest relative.’ ‘Tear enzyme chemistry indicates that the chicken is man’s closest relative.’ ‘On the basis of another type of blood chemistry test, the butter bean is man’s closest relative’” (Morris, Henry M., The Twilight of Evolution, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1967).

Silence

In recent years rigorous studies on the health consequences of noise have indicated that it elevates the heart rate, blood pressure, vasoconstriction and stress hormone levels, and increases risk for heart attacks. These reports prove that even when we have become mentally habituated to noise, the damage it does to our physiologies continues unchecked.
- "Silence: It's more golden than you think" by George Prochnik

I like comfortable silence. Silence can be fun. Silence is necessary. Silence gives people time to ponder deeply. But silence can be so loud that it becomes deafening. Silence can hurt.

723.

Helloooooo :D It's been more than a month! Haha :) Thank God for everything! Got the answer to my question :D Tried to upload photos just now but FB kept crashing on me..haha okay never mind will try again later :)

SO! Feeling tired after a long day out but it was really enjoyable :D:D:D Competing to see who can throw the pillows back into the basket from the furthest distance (haha this one was super short but it was fun :D), doing seriously dumb things in the showrooms (OMGOSH TOILET BOWL PHOTO HAHA) AND RUNNING UP THE DOWN ESCALATOR FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE HAHAHAHA SUPER EXHILARATING :DDDDDDDD YOU SHOULD TRY IT TOO! The escalators at T3 are long and aren't the steps type so you won't get hurt that easily haha :D Was about to reach the top when this guy on another escalator shouted at us and told us not to do that. HAHAHA yea I know it's crazy but you don't always get to do it!

Talking about funny things that happened to us, dreaming about the future, unsuccessful jumpshots, eating good food together, taking 71 photos although the camera's battery was low (HOW COOL IS THAT! THANK GOD FOR MAKING THE BATTERY LAST! HAHA) and laughing like crazy at anything and everything. Haha thanks for your "I love you" before I left :D I know I said "Yup yup" but I really wanted to say "I love you too" hahaha sorry I think I was too tired :) These words have been said many times before but you just never get tired of saying them. Having someone willing to do the dumbest things with you is one of the best things in life..I LOVE YOU FRIEND! =D

I made an animation! Another jumpshot animation :D Haha don't know how to increase the speed..if not it'll look really funny haha
AH YAY :D I'm going to read and watch Dear John, The Notebook and maybe Message in a Bottle..and another books by Nicholas Sparks after A's haha :D

Oh I found a really cool photo just now :D

AHH I WANNA DO THIS TOO! GROUP SKYDIVING!!

Malleable heart. (Sounds better than volatile heart, at least to me. Haha)
--
Love the natural high I get after exercise haha :D

God why do You still love me? I disobey. So many times I've disappointed You. Yet You never give up on me. Sigh You're the best. Please pull me back when I wander too far off. Cause I need You. I get worried when I realise that I want You for the wrong reasons. Change me. You deserve more.

God bless, take care & byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

惜福

Be thankful for the little things in life. When the escalator rides downwards after 5pm, be thankful for that. :D When you get to spend quality time with your loved ones, be thankful for that. When you open your eyes after a good night's rest, be thankful for the new day ahead. Be thankful. You're alive. :)

Thank God

for helping me pass NAPFA!! Haha He really performs miracles..from 0 to 2 then finally 7 pull-ups yesterday..haha those who know how afraid I was of pull-ups - my nemesis in NAPFA - will know it's really a miracle :D:D And I hit a personal best for standing broad jump - 179cm! Haha okay to me it's another miracle =D God is awesomest! Though I didn't run as quickly during the shuttle run and do as many sit-ups as I did during the 1st test, I'm really grateful that I passed :D Not sure if I'll be getting a silver or bronze but never mind cause to me it's gold HAHA so corny XD So anyway YAY THANK GOD NO MORE NAPFA FOR REAL, FOREVERRRRRR!! =D
